The child's footprints are turned into an image of a butterfly.
Butterflies are a common symbol associated with the death of a child. Butterflies also have a religious meaning. They are a symbol for new life. This is based on its various stages of life. The caterpillar represents the mortal life of people here on Earth. The cocoon compares with death. The caterpillar breaks out of its cocoon & emerges with a new body as a beautiful butterfly, just as human beings emerge from death into new life.

To my baby angel Jhayden, PawPaw misses you very much. Your brother is doing good and I know it's in part due to your help. I know that you're are sending all your strength to your brother and he is thriving because of it.

As a family we are so blessed to have this memorial of our sweet little angel. Thank you so much Crystal Grote for doing this for us. It is helping in our healing process to know that Jhayden will never be forgotten. To all of the families of the precious angels of butterfly footprints I am sorry for your loss but please know that I will help remember all of your sweet angels regardless of the fact that I did not know them. Jhayden will be in our hearts forever
Jhayden is my grandson. He is a twin and his twin brother Kayden is still in the hospital fighting for his life after they were born prematurly at 25 weeks. He only weighed 1 pound 2 ozs at birth and even though he fought hard he left this life after 12 days. This has been the hardest thing for our family and we miss him dearly. Thanks to our beautiful cousin Crystal we will always have this place were he will never be forgotten. We love you to the moon and back little butterfly and will miss you always, till we meet again <3 big love Grammy
It's been 3 months since you left us and I still think of you daily. Your brother will be coming home from the hospital soon and we will finally get to hold him in our arms which will be wonderful but also sad at the same time because while we will be cherishing that moment we will also have a hole in our heart knowing that we should have you in our arms also. Grammy loves you to the moon and back little butterfly,
Your brother came home from the hospital this month and has came to visit Grammy. I look and him and know that I am missing out on seeing your identical little face, and kissing your precious little head. Half of my heart is missing and it will never be whole again. I hope you are taking care of your baby brother or sister that mommy and daddy never got to name. I will always love you both.
